A true gem on Barbados! The View is an amazing destination that has fantastic food, lovely staff and as the name states, a breathtaking view.
During our visit my partner and I had the View Salad, the Blackened fish sandwich , a Bajan coffee and the bread pudding.
The View Salad was stunning, we enjoyed it with chicken, it was so fresh with a fantastic dressing.
The Blackened Fish Sandwich had a salad and Fries with it as well, the salad was fresh and delicious. The fries may be the best French fries I have ever tasted. Fluffy on the inside, crunchy outside and just so good!
The Bajan coffee had everything you want in a boozy coffee, sweet, whipped creme and a lovely hint of Barbadian Rum.
Now the bread pudding, oh my the bread pudding. Served with rum icecream, and a caramel sauce. The pudding was delectable. Perfectly sweet, and the flavours blended with the ice cream and sauce wonderfully.
We cannot say enough good things about the view. A must visit when you make the trip to Barbados!

If you want sunset views, then this would probably be a great venue, we had dinner reservations and so missed the sunset.
The food aspires towards nouveau cuisine hence the small portion sizes I've read as complaints in other reviews.
I can recommend the Bajan bites as an appetizer, I was initially put off by the inclusion of pig tail, it's usually just fat and in my family only used to thicken soups.
It appears that the meat is higher up the tail (who knew), I have to admit it was very tasty and reminiscent of BBQ rib.
The main dishes were very tasty and well presented, the empty plates at the end implied that there were no complaints.
The staff are attentive, patient and efficient, our waitress, "Melissa" went above and beyond to make our evening an enjoyable one.

Quietly up market west Coast experience in an intimate beach front setting. Chicken and corn risotto was excellent. Fried starter plate was good too. Perfect sunset views with great cocktails to go with.

Lovely location and restaurant, we will go back next time we are here!
The food was delicious. Seafood mixed platter to start (shared) - coconut shrimp, calamari and crab cakes. Followed by West Indian Shrimp Curry, which was super tasty and a great recommendation. The Thai Fish Curry was also good. Both spicy but not too much.
The wine is expensive (as always in Barbados), BBD$95 per bottle. Ran out of Pinot Grigio but Picpoul was tasty. Servers varied in friendliness.

Really lovely meal here at lunchtime today with great food, impeccable service and amazing views. I had the fish sandwich which was delicious and my husband the burger, which he reckoned was one of the best he’d ever had. Can’t wait to go back and try some more items on their menu.
