Lovely calm, authentic store with great products, each one with a distinct spirit as they were lovingly created by Ichia. So good to visit Barbados and be able to actually experience unique products with a relationship to the island and not simply ubiquitous knick-knacks.
Will be visiting each time we are in Bim and also intend on commissioning some spe ial pieces.

Tiyi by Design is a one-of-a-kind shop run by silversmith Ichia Tiyi. Ichia is not just a jeweller: she is an artist, and her pieces are truly special. My partner bought me a gorgeous pair of earrings at her shop, but we also had several charming and hilarious conversations with Ichia. You see, her adorable cat Enki looks exactly like our own cat. Enki's portrait was painted by Ichia's artist friend and her face now adorns souvenirs across Barbados. Ichia was extremely kind to contact her friend for us and he delivered some Enki items to Ichia's shop for us the day before our vacation ended. If you're staying in or visiting Speightstown, definitely stop by Tiyi by Design -- Ichia is a unique and skilled artist, but also an extremely kind person, and I cannot recommend her shop enough!

If you are in Spieghtstown be sure to seek out this hidden gem, upstairs in a little plaza across from Jeromes grocery. Miss Tiya's work is artistic and beautifully crafted. When I travel I always look for a unique affordable piece of jewelry to remind me of my trip. And that is exactly what I found here! Also, she is delightful to chat with and the ambiance of the store is lovely, nice and cool and smells like a spa. I also got to meet her mother who explained to me how to cook some local veggies. Overall a wonderful and memorable experience adding to my incredible vacation in Barbados.

When we travel we look for unique truely local experiences and art. Last year while in Barbados we learned about Achia, her designs and her jewelry at the Gallery of the Caribbean, just down the street from her shop and stopped in. She made a necklace and pendant for my wife during the week we were there and it was an instant heirloom. We went back again this year and will be back next. She and her work are a treasure.

Wonderful artisanal silver jewellery. You can afford a one-of-a-kind piece that will be a timeless heirloom. I bought my spouse a piece here for our 10th anniversary, and we just returned to buy another for our 21st. Stick around to get to know Ichia. She's good people.
