I recently visited the Belfort Banana Plantation in Martinique, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The plantation is beautifully maintained, and the lush green surroundings are simply breathtaking.
The guided tour was both informative and engaging. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about banana cultivation and the history of the plantation. It was amazing to learn about the different varieties of bananas and the sustainable farming practices they employ.
One of the highlights was getting to see the bananas at various stages of growth and learning about the entire process from planting to harvesting. The plantation also offers delicious samples of fresh bananas, which were some of the best I’ve ever tasted!
The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. They went out of their way to ensure we had a memorable visit.
If you’re in Martinique, I highly recommend a visit to the Belfort Banana Plantation. It’s a perfect outing for families, couples, or anyone interested in agriculture and local culture. Don’t miss it!

This was a very interesting tour. The fact that they raise bananas with no pesticides and do crop rotation is very impressive. Our guide did a great job in both French and English.

Nice experience, however a little limited. It is about one hour. You can see how banana are cultivated, how plantation works, how they are packed and delivered to customers. You can also try banana from plantation, local banana wine and dried fruits.
Quite interesting however it may be easier for people which doesn't speak French if we receive some English guide describing process. It may also be good to present some movie or something like this.
Also one technical information. Reservation form on the page doesn't show SSL (secure certificate) so it may be risky to put card number there. Maybe connection is encrypted on next step, but to check this I would have to put my card number...
