Walking into a restaurant, I expect more than just a plate of food, I expect hospitality. Unfortunately, that was missing from the moment I arrived.
I greeted the owner with a warm “Good evening,” not once, but twice, and was completely ignored. First impressions matter, and that set the tone for the rest of the evening. In Guadeloupe, where warmth and hospitality are part of our culture, the atmosphere felt surprisingly cold and unwelcoming.
The food was, at best, average. It wasn’t terrible, but there was nothing memorable or reflective of the rich culinary identity of Guadeloupe. It lacked personality and left me wondering what exactly I was paying for.
The only bright spot was our server, who was attentive and professional despite the atmosphere created elsewhere. The wine was enjoyable, though the credit belongs to where it was produced rather than the restaurant itself.
Here’s the truth: customers are the reason restaurants stay open. A simple greeting and basic courtesy cost nothing, yet they make all the difference. I left feeling unappreciated as a guest, and that’s not an experience I would spend my money on again.
Sadly, this visit was more disappointing than memorable.

The location is perfect, the food is TASTY!, plenty of parking, and friendly staff. Trust me, come and try it out!

We had some beers and than lunch.
The salade with fish was fine.
But the ribs were poor. 2 small pieces with almost no meat. 25€ for that dish was not ok. Certainly cause it didn’t fill the stomach.
Waitresses were very friendly.

Easygoing choice for international food with local flair. The team is attentive and personable, prices are reasonable for the touristy location and service is quick.
The elevated position offers a great view towards the beach and a welcome breeze to keep cool.

Just had drinks but a great place to watch the boules.
Went back again this time for food. Burger and lobster- excellent.
