Absolutely stunning warm beach. Waves are incredibly fun to play around with, but a bit dangerous. Can also see some sea turtles!

This place is gorgeous! We came on a wavy day, so it was quite intense, but my boys love playing in the waves. The area is very quiet and tranquil 🌴

Worthing Beach in Barbados doesn’t quite match the wide, picture-perfect beach you often see in photos. Large sections are taken up by sunbeds from nearby hotels, and the remaining public areas are quite narrow, as coastal erosion has significantly reduced the width of the beach in many spots. In some areas, the sea has eaten away almost all of the sand. The waves can be stronger than expected, so it’s important to be careful when swimming, especially where there are rocks in the water. There are wave breakers visible in the distance, and honestly, more protection seems necessary or there won’t be much beach left over time. On a positive note, we were lucky enough to spot a turtle swimming close to shore, which was a highlight. Still, overall this beach feels smaller and less “classic Caribbean” than many others on the island.

I stayed at air airbnb on Worthing Beach. The waves seem a bit rough from the shore (at least in front of the airbnb), but if you go down by Carib Beach Bar - it is shallow all the way out to where the waves are breaking on the reef. Less than chest-high. Carib beach bar has great food, is cheap, AND if you rent a beach chair and umbrella you can spend a whole day here and have a spot for lunch or dinner that is fine for a beach coverup or swim trunks and a shirt. I snorkeled out to where the waves broke on the reef and saw a sea turle and some pretty fish. Beware, any beach in barbados may have stonefish (saw these underwater near rocks on every beach). You don't want to step on them, so wear beach shoes if you're near any rocks.

Gorgeous beach white sand & blue/ green sea for miles. Lots of places to eat & drink along the way. The current is strong but the sea is beautiful to swim in
