Short stay with a child Dec 2025. Stayed in Nov 2024 for a conference and the conference facilities were excellent. The resort is huge but can be difficult to move around with a stroller due to its build. Food was good, a variety at main buffet. However, specialty restaurants would be great for options. Room cleaning was not automatic everyday, had to request cleaning after spill on the bed. Pools were clean and swim up bar and family pool for toddlers nice. There is very little entertainment generally and given the remote locatiom would be a great addition for guests who dont want to leave the resort. Did not recall a gift/souvenir shop, that would be a nice additio. The fitness centre was decent. The cat situation close to buffet seating is definitely a negative (as a person who does not like cats), one jumped on table and took stuff off plate (thankfully I was done eating). Overall, a few things can be addressed to make it a 10/10 all inclusive experience.

Staying at the Wyndham Grand was an amazing experience. The staff were incredibly kind, professional, and welcoming. The room was spotless, and the facilities were great, beautiful pools overlooking the ocean with plenty of seating whether you prefer sun or shade. You can relax in a livelier area or find a quiet, secluded spot to read or nap.
A major highlight was the Burnt Cask Rum Bar. It’s a calm, cozy place to enjoy a drink, and DaShawn, the bartender, truly elevates the experience. He’s extremely knowledgeable about different rums and can craft a wide range of cocktails. His service, personality, and expertise make the bar one of the best parts of the entire stay.

We stayed here as a staycation while we were spending time at our Barbados home.
What a stunning hotel! The staff, grounds, hotel, food…all excellent!
Our 2 Butler’s; Claudia & T’Shane were amazing and extremely helpful.
Jalisa in Castle View restaurant was a delight to have serve us!
Not one person was less than friendly.
Georgia & (totally blanking on her name) from the entertainment were amazing! We had a wonderful afternoon playing dominos with them. The entire entertainment team was great.
Our room was exceptional, one bedroom suite with 2 balconies. Nothing was amiss.
Never long waits for food or drinks. Already looking forward to our return on our next staycation.

I don’t even know where to start. I have never been so frustrated with a resort to leave a review on the very first day. I will update if things get better but this is how it started. First and foremost when I arrived to the resort, absolutely no one greeted me and my fiance, no welcome drink, towel, nothing. We had to search for check in. Upon check in everyone is overwhelmed and not really friendly. I first started off with asking to make dinner reservations. As someone who traveled to 9 countries in the last year I know to do this day one. There is only one fine dining restaurant and it is completely booked my entire stay. So small bites from the bar is what we are left with. The resort is really far from popular activities so Roundtrip transportation will cost $100 each way. There was a manager by the name of Shavonne that’s been really nice and trying to assist but otherwise I absolutely hate this resort, I am in tears as I type this as no one is answering the phone from housekeeping to front desk and I was given a room with no towels.

The hotel itself was in a really great location and had great views.
The room was very modern and was decorated well. However, it was not very clean and there was a lack of attention to detail. There was a lamp in our room which would not switch off, so we had to take the bulb out to ensure we could sleep in the dark. It was wired into the wall so we had no other way of switching it off and was on a motion sensor. The hot water in our room was also limited and it took 10-15 minutes for the shower/ taps to get warm, which is not only a waste of water but an unacceptable amount of time to wait for warm water. We were also made aware that other guests had also complained about the water but nothing had been done to improve the situation for several days.
Overall, the staff were very unhelpful. We were given very little information about the resort when we checked in and had to figure a lot of things out for ourselves. Information given about mealtimes was incorrect and there was very little information about what was included in the all inclusive package and what would cost extra. Staff in the restaurants were lazy and were often stood around chatting to each other rather than doing their jobs. We had to wait on one occasion nearly 20 minutes for drinks, when we could see the staff were not busy and were just stood around chatting and laughing with each other.
Parts of the resort looked very tired with sections of the pool coating having come off. This could be dangerous if anyone were to cut themselves on the sharp edges.
There were limited dining options and allergy information for some dishes was lacking. There were also very few options to get snacks outside the main dining times which was a shame.
Reception/ guest services staff were rude, and when we asked about our transfer to the airport on the day we were travelling home, we were told “that’s not something we deal with, you will have to sort it yourself”.
This was advertised as a 5* hotel, and the location had the potential for this, but the staff and overall quality of the hotel meant it felt far from a 5* experience.
