This was a really neat Zoo to visit. Not only are their animals to look at, but also ruins that are left from the 1902 volcano eruption. There is also three atriums you get to go through, two with birds and one with butterflies. Very neat to have that experience. It is played out really well. Totally worth visiting this zoo.

I was somewhat surprised by the very good combination of zoo/botanical garden or park. If, honestly, I expected a little more from the zoo (there are not too many animal species, some are not even visible - I wanted to see a large anteater...), I was very satisfied with the botanical part of the garden. At first glance, the entrance fee also seems high, but when you walk the entire route and see how much effort was put into the design of the garden, its maintenance and the entire logistics in general (Zoo and garden), it is understandable and acceptable. The staff also works flawlessly, and I should not forget to mention the remains of the former rum distillery - superb!

A true gem! Coming from Southern California we were not expecting much from this zoo, but we were amazed! The zoo grounds are beautiful (a 120 year old rum factory). The animals were well taken care of and in their proper climates. Inexpensive as well!

Beautiful mid sized ZOO which feels very natural and is full of greenery. The animals seem happy and healthy. The whole zoo visit can be done in 1-1,5 hour, so it was ideal length even for our small son. Definitely worth visiting.

If you like animals, plants, and history, Zoo Martinique is the go-to! We enjoyed walking along the beautiful paths, seeing various animal enclosures mixed within historic ruins of an old plantation. Even the short rain shower couldn't dampen our experience; it gave us more time to watch mom anteater with her baby! This zoo is simply amazing - a must visit when in Martinique!
